Kerry asked for a postponement and didn't get it this isn't the same as publicly opposing Cassini.

Kerry has several times said he supports NASA and the space program. He was a cosponsor on:

S.788 Second Century of Flight Act (Introduced in Senate)

and

S.1821 National Space Commission Act (Introduced in Senate)
