Raoul, I hope you know that the majority of Americans I talk to these days, even many that formerly bought into Bush's "compassionate conservatism" have tired of this embarassment and are working their tails off to see him ridden out of town on a rail. Please tell your fellow Europeans that the sadly deluded ones we have to contend with (like our friend here) are rapidly falling out of favor and power. Our nation is still great in many ways, just we've had it good for so long, many of us are spoiled to think we're a class above all others on this Earth, that we're on some "mission from God" to cleanse the scum. Their intentions are basically honorable but they've lost the art of humility and introspection. Please have patience.
