Who are the Democrats in 2004?
In a benchmark survey last year, the Pew Research Center found that the ranks of self-identified Democrats include:
_36 percent of women and 27 percent of men.
_64 percent of blacks and 36 percent of Hispanics.
_38 percent of those 65 and older, the most solidly Democratic age group.
_36 percent of those with less than a high school education, the most solidly Democratic group by education, and 33 percent of those with a postgraduate college education, the second most Democratic group.
_39 percent of those making less than $20,000 a year, the most Democratic income group.
_27 percent of those making more than $75,000, the least Democratic income group.
Let's see...
36 percent of those with less than a high school education, the most solidly Democratic group by education,
Being uneducated isn't a prerequisite - but it clearly helps. Yet we don't see signs "Morons for Kerry"
Clearly it helps if you are a minority or over 65.
It's almost a given that a Democrat earns under $20,000 a year.
A Democrat is probably female.
Basically, being a Democrat in 2004 is almost like advertising one is on the fringes of American society - most likely unsuccessful and frustrated, probably a woman or a minority with less than a high school education.
So the question one has to ask oneself does one become unsuccessful and ignorant because one shares Democratic party values or does the Democratic party just pander to the unsuccessful and ignorant?
And what about those postgrads? What professions can these postgrads have to match the distorted Democrat demographics? How can one be statistically a postgrad, female, minority and still earn just $20,000 a year?
Professors and teachers anyone?
Perhaps the crossover of the 27% who earn 75k or more embrace the other postgrads. And perhaps spending that extra time in a university leads to indoctrination and a Democrat outlook. Goodness knows the faculties of most universities share almost universal Democratic party registration and ACLU membership.
Either way, it's obvious that supporting Democratic policies and values largely leads to personal poverty and personal ignorance.
That's why the "Stronger America" slogan is so ridiculous. It is like "Safe and Sane" fireworks or "healthy filtered-tip" smoking.
The real convention theme in Boston?
"KERRY - For A Dumberer and Poorir Americca."

Yes, I put this on flame because it is not PC to point out statistics and because I know it is too hot too handle for CE. The source of these statistics itself was anarticle that has quickly been buried because the author provided just a bit too much information about the Democratic party.
