"Them" was supposed to refer to "blogs", as suggested reading on a topic. A quick look at the sentence reveals that the antecedent is not unclear, but [gulp] missing altogether. My bad.

Thanks for the sharp eye! And thanks for the support. I'm glad there was also a discussion of some substance to make the gnats tolerable. :)
