Bowser, where did Tom say “Excuse†or “Everyone’s doing it?
. He was pointing out, just I did that fanaticism knows no single group.
I am acutely aware of the numerous crimes inflicted on many peoples around the world by “Christiansâ€. Ask anyone who is of Native American descent.
And while you love to trash American actions in the places you name. I doubt that the actions so widely publicized are the norm. In fact they are most likely an rare exception. You’ve gotten so Pavlovian in your responses to Tom you can’t seem to read what he is saying sometimes.
And, no I don’t always agree with Tom, I’m more middle-of-the-road.
I did believe we needed to go into Iraq, but not the way it happened.
Somewhere Rummy & Co forgot the ancient adage. “Conquest is easy, occupation is very difficult.†and the Doctrine of current US military tactics. “Overwhelming Force, Quickly as possible.â€
Not enough force was put on the ground to stabilize Iraq, and now we pay for it in blood, sweat, tears and treasure.
