reminds me of the blue/red county map

Both interpreted to show that wide swathes of country are quiet (Iraq) or pro-Bush (US).

The other interpretation is that smatterings of attacks (Iraq) and smattering of Blue (Kerry) happen to occur where concentrations of people live.
