If your assumptions are true.
I don't believe they are.
Nothing Kerry has said indicates a pull-out.
Nothing he has said indicates he thinks the war is useless and immoral.
Does he think it was wrong? Yes. So do I.
Has he said we cant pull out unless the situation is stabilised? Yes, and that's my position also.
"John F. Kerry has a long history in his political career of typical leftist hostility toward the military, of cleaving to the idea of America as the "troublemaker" of the world, of assuming that the United Nations and Europe are superior to America in policies, morals, and economics, and of constructing false personnas to gain political goals."
So say you. I look at the same history and don't see it for the left as a whole, (Fringes yes, but as I keep trying to tell you and you don't believe they aint in power any more than the isolationists of the right fringe), and for Kerry, at the very least not recently.
It's about as useful a line of argument as "The typical rightist thinks that My Country is Right, no matter harm what they do or what they screw up."
"Whatever chance we have to succeed in Iraq right now, it would drop to zero with Kerry as President. What alternative is there except withdrawal?"
I beg to differ. You criticize Kerry for wanting more allies when Bush has been trying to do the same thing. Bush's credibility worldwide is completely shot. Kerry starts with a moderately cleaner slate.
I want someone in charge who isn't proven to be an incompetent CinC. One who can take off the rose tinted glasses and adequately assess and respond to situations. The incumbent has proven he can't. I think the challenger can.
I'd take your bet in a heartbeat if I thought my wife would approve. ;-)
How about something smaller?
