re: Overall, the debate goes to Kerry

On style Kerry wins. On Substance its a draw.

I'm dissapointed because I know Bush could have done better.

Kerry stayed on Message offering nothing that he would do any differently than Bush, the only thing Kerry has to differentiate himself from Bush is that he says he would do it better. No real substance on how exactly you could do any of it better...Bush needed to point out that we don't have unlimited resources. Bush hinted at it, but didn't drive the point home.

Kerry's message might have played in the debate, but it relly shows that he has no real "plan" of his own (despite that he mentioned the word "plan" about 600 times).

Bush's best part of the debate came when he pointed out that a leader who doesn't believe in the Iraqi war would make a terrible leader in that war.

Do we wantour sons and daughters being led into battle by a leader who thinks its a "bad war" to begin with?

It will be interesting to watch the spin. The Democrats so far have had the best spinners. The Republican spinners should really look for a new line of work: They were pathetic (The exception was Karen Hughes...She was awesome.)
