re: Kerry is now for Pre-emptive war. -

"Kerry, including last night, seems to have things hidden up his sleeve. Sorry, but he's always given me that impression."

I know the feeling. I think it is legitimate and it is how Kerry maintains his reputation for being "the come from behind candidate".

Kerry was all but out in the Iowa Primaries until the very end, then suddenly you started to hear and see things that made Howard Dean look just a little bit mentally unstable...Couldn't really pin it on Kerry directly, but you pretty much knew where it was coming from...In the end, Howard Dean might have been a little (or a lot) mentally unstable, but either way, the Kerry Camp was happy to wait until very near the end of the campaign to start waving the red flags that untimately doomed the Dean Campaign...to do it earlier would have given Dean time to react and counter the (True or not True???) claims.

Is that a just good campaign tactics or a dirty tricks campaign? I think its a little of both, but in politics all is fair for the most part, so I would err on the side of saying Kerry is just a very clever campaigner who knows how and when to attack. I'm nearly certain that he is holding his best attack material for the very end. But then so is Bush if he is smart.
