Interesting that you stated that Turkey is a NATO ally and yet if provoked would ethnically cleanse themselves of the Kurds. Amazing what wonderful alliances we make in this world such as the one we made with Saddam Hussein in his war with Iran.

It's so funny. My post was simply a brainstorm for a situation that seems to me to be a losing one no matter what we do there. We'll force these antagonistic cultures to live together or else. Yep, that's gonna work. Yep, yep. Looking at all the options, dividing the country up is simply as absurd as the rest.

Unfortunately, from my viewpoint and my study of human cultures and behaviors, the timelines for natural development away from feudal infighting are in the hundreds and thousands of years. History has shown that interference in those processes simply resets the timelines or delays them substantially. The last interference was in WWII when the country was originally divided up. I see that there's probably another few centuries just to undo the chaos caused by that action. Who knows what our interference is causing in that development.

Life isn't simple. An open mind helps keep it all in perspective.
