It seems every solution to gun problems, violence, or international disagreements is always more guns and more violence. The way to stop shootings is to have more people capable of shooting, the way to stop war is to start more wars.

The way to stop mall shootings is to have mall guards. Oh, that's right. We've got 'em. All right then, armed mall guards. You're right, could be outgunned. OK, mall guards armed with assault weapons.

Same with schools. Armed guards. And, armed teachers. What if a teacher is a bit loony? Armed kids. And of course, armed school bus drivers to whack the armed kids taking the lunch money from the unarmed kids.

We don't like Saddam because he MIGHT be armed. OK, let's whack Iraqis - all of 'em With guns. And bombs. Don't like bin Laden - let's whack Afghans, all of 'em. That's right, we got bin Laden. What the hell, let's keep whacking Afghanis, some of 'em don't like us because we whacked some shirttail relative or one of their kids or raped a neighbor.

That's the Conservative solution to violence. More violence. Too bad the Christians among them haven't heard of the New Testament. Could be an ameliorating influence.

You guys should read yourselves. The solution is to escalate the problem.

Why is it the solution go gun violence is more guns and educating kids how to use them, but the solution to unwanted pregnancies IS NOT to introduce condoms and teach kids how to use them? Go figure.
