and pledged $500 million from the World Bank, the majority of which comes from the US. In the meantime, US government donations are up to $350 million and private donations are well over $100 million more.

It never ceases to amaze me how petty you Bush-haters get. The US announced the initial $15 million at a time when the known death toll was about 3,000. As better information on the destruction and loss of life came in, the contributions increased.
