I'm not going to itemize what America is doing to help out, because the information is out there for everyone to see. Current monetary government aid level alone from the U.S. stands at $350 million. It's been less than a week since the disaster. Or maybe you think Bush carries this money around in his wallet so his personal presence is required to do this?

I also realize that part of the liberal worldview is that only government taxpayer money "counts" when talking about charity and giving. So I guess the fact that private donations aren't being counted in these little contests to see which nation's Generosity Dick is bigger wouldn't mean anything to you either.

I know perfectly well why the U.N. is pissed. It's already been thoroughly proven to be about as useful as tits on a boar for anything related to international security and peacekeeping, and doesn't look forward to being relegated to similar obscurity in the humanities field.
