If I were cynical I would say the purpose of the trip was to get publicity for a possible bid for Jeb when he runs at being the Republican candidate to carry on the Bush dynasty.
But, of course, I am not cynical.
No, Jeb will be visting the damaged areas firsthand. Something he did little of here in Florida during our recent bevy of hurricanes. Jeb did visit Miami and Palm Beach--which were missed during the hurricane--and Naples-also missed.
Of course the TV coverage was so good trips were not really necessary. To his credit Jeb went to Wauchula and Punta Gorda which were ground zero situations.
But hey, why would anyone be suspicious of Bush family motives?
