Bin Laden had ambitions on Saudi Arabia and hostility towards its rulers long before Bush was elected.
Again, I am amazed at how someone can still hold on to the bizarre concept that if we had never invaded Iraq (a regime the Left delights in pointing out was opposed to and had nothing to do with the Islamists), and if all we had done was run al Qaeda out of Afghanistan, killed hundreds to thousands of its members, hunted them down all across the world, and overthrown one of the only governments in the world truly sympathetic to bin Laden's goals--
That somehow bin Laden, his goons, and radical Islamists all over the world, would be less angry with us now.
