I'm a taxpayer. It belongs to me, I don't like the current tenant, and he doesn't need it. We can start dismantling your 2/3 of the Federal budget there.
How did the prosperous get prosperous? By paying people far less than they took to support the businesses they built. I know, now we'll get into the Michael Jordan argument. But tell me, please, why people who have built a business by their own hard work, out on the floor, are not entitled to reap some benefit. Have you looked at what entrepreneurs have been doing to pension plans and medical retirement benefits lately? To whom can they turn, when the people in charge of the companies for which they work are taking that away? If we don't accept that we have shared responsibility for each other as citizens and as human beings, we will have two kinds of gated communities: one where no one can get in, and one where no one can get out.
You used a phrase that is tied so closely to Marxism that there isn't even any light shining between the two to describe the Democratic party. Tell me all about how injured you are the next time someone refers to "the fascist tactics of the Republican party", and I will laugh in your face.
