re: nuclear energy economics, and eating France's dust
Free market as I am, I have no objection to strict regulations and standards of nuclear reactors. The nature of nuclear power systems demands it. Property rights end when George down the street is storing barrels of nitroglycerin in his basement.
France is an excellent example of standardized systems in large-scale operation, such as Gary proposes. Whatever else you might say about France, they sure blew our doors off in the nuclear power industry.
