my only concern

Is the breeder cycle. For Fission to be a tractable alternative to fossil for more than 25 years, we need breeders. Processing spent fuel rods, if I understand, is pretty straight forward. How will processing pebbles work out? Don't know.

Also, I'm not sure what would happen if multiple pebbles structurally failed and the material ended up 'clumping' in the reactor, is such an event eithr possible or problematic? Not an engineer, so I don't know.

In any case, I am no fan of fission, but we don't have much time to 'scale up' another power-yielding technology, and most alternatives are simply not workable now or anytime in the near future. We may be at the production peak or very close... So we need something or suffer a very rough time.
