But the internet runneth over with crap. I usually seek guidance for unfamiliar topics before I just dive in. Usually reading one or two pieces considered adequate by someone knowledgable in a field allows me to pick up enough to separate the wheat from the chaff, or at least do so without having to make many wrong steps at first. RTFM has its limits.
However, of course, not your job, and no hard feelings if you care not to.
