Which I am assuming to be just air. Every system has a point where dissipation matches production. Its not like the capsule exists in a vacuum.

From numerous sources I get the peak uncooled temperature of the pebble heap to be 2600c. I'm more then happy to believe you, but you have to give me something more than just loudly reiterated assetions.
