I'll need it too to encourage Bush to veto some spending for a change and finally do something about illegal immigration.
Bush may be in trouble on the latter issue. Not only is this the one thing that gets a lot of conservatives hot under the collar about Bush, but I've been listening to Rush and he has recently taken on the illegal immigration issue, and specifically the President's position on it. Up until now, Rush has been pretty quiet on that (relatively speaking).
It isn't just Rush either. Opposition to Bush's somewhat limp position on illegal immigrants is an almost universal factor in all major conservative talk-radio shows.
The Democrats have a golden opportunity to flank Bush on this on the right (wouldn't be hard), but so far only Hillary seems to have read those tea leaves.
A lot of action in Congress on this, too. Bush can't duck it forever.
