Don't recall any teachers "making me excited"...
..."touching my heart" (well, except for my 5th grade teacher who I had a crush on), ... I forget the rest of the tirade but I think you get my drift. Great teachers are fine, but adequate teachers and even boring teachers deserve respect. And a student has a duty to learn from them regardless.
I can imagine what they would have told me if I acted up in class and I complained on the way out that they weren't inspiring enough.
Things have changed a lot! I don't know why people belittle teachers so much now.
