The facts are what they are. As always, it's interesting to see what's cherry-picked out, and what's ignored.
Conclusions that should have been drawn:
- Education costs have risen drastically. It's even worse for colleges, whose costs have increased even faster than medical costs, but that's another story.
- Obviously, teachers have not seen this drastic increase in their own salaries. Since union dues are a percentage of teacher salaries, it's also obvious that union dues are not the primary cost increase factor in education, and I never said they were.
- Our education system was doing a pretty damn good job both without unions and a Federal Department of Education.
The very first response to that list from an intelligent person should have been "so where the hell IS all that money going?"
