Wrong time, wrong place.

Being "right" is not an excuse for inappropriate behavior. Had that kid wanted to make his point with a chance for the teacher to hear it he would have made an appointment.

Parents today very often are children themselves, no matter how old, and the expectation is that any failure of the kid to learn and succeed is the fault of the schools and teachers. Who, by the way, are given no power.

I believe in the huge majority of the cases the schools have done all a reasonable outsider could do with a child who has little encouragement, incentive or example at home to do better. I believe that the school system is blamed by rotten parents for not doing their job for them.

The teachers I know do their very best, and it's damned good. But give Michaelangelo mud and see what he paints and sculpts.

That kid's job was to go to the principal's office, explain his point to the teacher, and ask for help in getting the message to the teacher.

Too bad there isn't still the draft. I'd love to see him explain to the drill sergeant how best the military could "excite" the recruits and have them wanting to face every next day with eager anticipation, a smile on their face and a spring in their step.

The little jerk would be happy, delighted in fact, to be back in that class, with a little less excitement, maybe.
