We speak of what we can do as a society to help the youth. We live in a time when information is instantaneous. The youth are not stupid or blind. They know.
Our youth follows their lead. It is up to us as adults to show them the way.
This young man may have only found his voice because he felt safe with this peers. Or he felt safe with this teacher.
I heard complete frustration on his part. I heard indifference on the teachers part.
Our children need to be heard. Our children want to be heard. It is up to us to not shut the line of communication down.
My beloved Mr. Adams, in high school would have listened.
...and by the way..I dated a Zoner who had hair that long until he was fifty and decided to cut it off because he was thinning on top.
