Creation, I think, is the biggest illusion of all.
What has ever been created?
How was it created?
The reality is nothing has ever been created. All we ever observe is the morphing of existing energy.
Religions have trained people to think in terms of creation when all around us is evidence that creation doesn't exist!
When I write a post is it created?
No, it is just a new morphing of existing energy signals.
When we build a probe to send to Europa, do we create it?
No, we just put together existing materials in a new manner.
When a city is built is it created?
No. Again it is just a combining and morphing of existing materials.
When planets, stars, galaxies and universes form are they created?
No, they too are just morphings of this indestructible stuff we call energy.
One has to get out of the "creationist" rut to see the universe in its true totality.
The microcosm of our world is made of the same raw stuff that makes up the macrocosm of all the stars, nebulae, galaxies, and so on billions (and yes, trillions) of light years away.
When we realized that everything is energy and energy is indestructible we really immediately voided the need for any sort of "creation" and truly have maid the words beginning and ending oxymorons at worst and "interpretive markers of energy in transition" at best. We test the hypothesis of "energy indestructibility" all the time and it passes with flying colors.
I know... it makes one's brain itch. But it's a good sort of itch that only deep thinking can scratch.
