Schizoid ignorance
That was an eye-opener. How could any physicist spout such drivel? I could understand qualms about Orion-style launchers or using gas-core rockets for a ground launch - both are barely controlled bombs-as-propulsion. But Plutonium 238 in oxide ingots are the most unlikely radiological hazard possible - chemically inert, virtually indestructible and more likely to dig a crater than turn into powder on an accidental re-entry. The hazard is essentially zero.
The man made a beta-machine (a positron factory) as a kid and yet is afraid of a bit of radiation from non-fissile plutonium? He's a nut!
