It seems to me that all paths through the universe are circular. No matter what speed you go, you always end up back where you started. A certain speed will put you in orbit around the earth. A faster speed will put you in orbit around the sun. Faster and you will orbit the center of the Milky Way. Faster and you will orbit the local group of galaxies. Faster and I still think there is some center of mass that you will orbit, causing you to eventually arrive back where you started.
Am I right? If there is an escape velocity for the universe, what is it? If there isn't then I suggest that I am correct, that the universe is closed and all paths are closed-bounded, sortof circular.
