You 'one upped' me

now, how many people have had their minds SEVERELY blown...?

The human mind has self protection... when confronted with things like this the mind says 'WHOA, cant really process this, so I will just think it is cool...'

I honestly think I have a realistic (well, as realistic as a human can be) view on the immensity of the universe, but that one picture of that small section of our galaxy overwhelmed me- there must be 10,000 suns in that picture... all those suns looked like sand on the beach, and yet that collection of suns is dwarfed by whats out there-

It can be very disturbing when you really think about it- looking at the night sky can make you feel small- knowing how much is out there and how little you know can make you feel infinitesmal. One thing I know is that some observations are going make the situation worse- I think humans are able to play along and keep up- but just barely...

it is confusing and frustrating, but be honest- isnt it a wonderful time to be alive? Not too long ago we believed in crystal spheres- the universe has proven to be FAR more amazing than we could imagine....

:) so keep holding on, the ride is just starting....
