Again, I see so many here who think they have a textured, nuanced, layered understanding of things seemingly incapable of making simple distinctions, keeping perspective or being fair and balanced. Time and again, I see excessive hyperbole, partisan handwaving, wilful ignorance, and intellectual dishonesty, all also symptoms of the malaise that has taken root deep inside the Democrat Party. (And the Republican Party sucks *ss in many respects as well.)

As Tom put it, they got nothing. They just sit on the fence on top of Moral Highground Hill and throw rocks.

I'm starting to feel like Davin, beginning to hate coming here and reading the threads - the smarmy subject-line-only retorts that address nothing, responses that seem to miss the point deliberately and entirely, issues unnecessarily nuanced into a moral Mobius strip saturated in infinite shades of dreary, overcast grey, the self-satisfied defeatism and compulsory cynicism the author thinks is fresh and different.

Yeah, I know, no one's stopping me from leaving. And what am I doing to make a difference? I often just shrug my shoulders and think WTFE. Life's short to get mad or get even.
