If this Universe isn't interesting enough to write about, what makes the sci-fi writers think that a parallel Universe is interesting enough to write about?

Even Carl Sagen's Contact...BORING. Not enlightening.

Truely very little literary value.

Does it have anything to do with String Theory? Maybe, Maybe not...Depends on the length of the Strings I guess.
