I think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone more qualified. Not that this particular study settles any of the larger issues.
I'd be interested to learn about estimates of how often meteorites transferred from Mars to Earth quickly, in the range of a few years rather than millenia. If that does happen sufficiently, it would be harder to argue that back contamination is anything new.
