I agree whole-heartedly - but if done right the MSR could be a good precursor, a demo mission for ISRU. However I think they're still planning some stupid orbital rendevous, which is an unnecessary added risk and expense.

PS I still want to see Moon missions too, preferably done with a common HLLV architecture - none of the inane EELV mid-size launcher bullshit.
