Sure, the internment camps were wrong, and they were racist. The US was racially segregated all down the line at that time. You can hold FDR responsible for the camps, but not for the racism. It was part of American society.
Please notice that FDR was re-elected for an unprecedented third term in 1940, before Pearl Harbor -- hardly in popular decline, as you claim.
Hitler was practically forced to declare war on the US - a nation which, I can assure you, he had no desire to wage war with in 1941.
Not in 1941? Maybe later, after he had locked up Europe? But the fact is, he was so delighted that the US had declared war against the Japanese after their surprise attack on Pearl Harbor that he declared war on the US right away! Look at the date.
None of this has any bearing on President Bush's invasion of Iraq. Iraq has never declared war on the US.
Since you decry hate in all its forms, please be kind enough to defend the Arabs and the Muslims the next time, and all subsequent times, that these whole groups are called "enemies", "uncivilized", or "terrorists". Thus you can demonstrate that we have learned from the injustice and the tragedy of rounding up people found in a particular location and keeping them imprisoned for years without trial because of how they looked and where they happened to be.
