Donald, part of the discussion of whether we should have gone to war is a realistic assessment of what would have or might have happened if we had not gone to war.
This has gotten short shrift around here, including ignoring the conclusions of both David Kay and Charles Duelfer, the previous positions of human rights organizations on the sanctions, the history of U.N. inspections and Iraq's non-cooperation.

Reasonable arguments can be about exactly what would have happened over the next ten years if we had left Iraq to the skilled ministrations of the United Nations, but nothing is accomplished by making silly statements like this.
