Tom,
What you continue to ignore is one simple fact...George Bush justified an unprecedented preemptive war upon claims about WMDs that simply weren't true. That's wrong no matter how you try to respin the justification for war after-the-fact. Your continued failure to recognize this is orwellian. I can see the lessons of Animal Farm were lost on you completely.
Yes, Saddam would have liked to have replensihed his arsenal. So what? So would every other nation's leader in every nation across the planet. And while we are spinning our wheels in Iraq, we are powerless to stop other despot-run nations well on their way to producing WMDs. How you reconcile these facts to continue to justify a completely unjustified war is beyond me.
What it looks like is that you will say and believe anything that supports the current incompetents in the White House. For you its not about the American soldiers dying there, or about the veracity of a failed foreign policy...its about in-your-face politics...its about the preservation of political power in America, not about what's right for the American people. I guess in your book some people are more equal than others.
