I have never found anything in either of these two ideas that preclude or exclude the other. I have a deep faith. God just is. I believe it was in the new testament where someone stated (I cannot remember who at this point, my eyes are crossing in fatigue) that 'God would not have you ignorant.' I find anything exclusive to be based in not only ignorance but an ignorance that revels in itself.
When I was discussing with a friend two diametrically opposed sides of an issue related to spirituality, she asked me, "Why cannot they both be true?" I think if we learn to view things from a high enough perspective, many more things become true than we ever imagined.
I love God and I love science. I can assure anyone who would inquire that God doesn't object and neither does science.
