These are the things that I find amazing.

Mary Anne is married. She's got several daughters one who is a crack shot and attends college in New York state. She is very liberal and lives in a community that is religiously conservative. She speaks out against injustice where she sees it and has been active in community politics, including keeping religious beliefs and prejudice out of the classroom.

She is Wiccan (or at least she celebrates holidays in a Wiccan manner) and raised in a Catholic school. Her father died recently which she touchingly related, her mother-in-law has given her unique insight and experience in dealing with various health service providers. Her grandfather was involved in politics. She has attended gun shows and is singlehandedly responsible for getting many local children excited about reading, fighting the little old ladies destroying books that go against their religion and has fairly recently turned down an offer to work further away from her library and community. She has weeds in her front yard and is one of those often unrecognized and unrewarded pillars of her community.

Do folks post here for years and not remember this stuff or just post stuff and don't read other threads? C'mon Don... let's pay attention! That would be like folks here not remembering your brother is Director at the Griffith Observatory in LA and that you work in WA municipal government.

Oh yes, and she is against crosses on public land, "under God" in the pledge of allegiance, the Patriot act and has called me a stubborn farm animal and requested I halt engaging in sexual activity on more than one occasion.
