Look all around and what do you see
Things that were made by you and by me
Look once again and you will see
Things made by nature for instance a tree.
Look at the tree and what do you see
A branch growing out of the beautiful tree.
Look at the branch and what do you see
A leaf growing out of the branch towards thee.
Look at the leaf and what do you see
Little veins and something that's beautiful green
Look at the veins and the something that's green
And ponder on things that have not been seen
Ponder the size of the molecule and atom
Ponder the size of the electron and other
Ponder on things that have no bearing on trees
Ponder on life that came out of the seas
You ponder and wonder, you sweat and you fret
Is life everlasting or is it dead
You wonder and ponder and finally you see
Life is a form of energy
Since energy immortal and stuff from the sea
Is combined together to form you and me
We're brothers of mass and energy alike
So there's actually no reason to fight
My father the scientist says to me
Son you can not destroy energy
Yet he believes, when one slaughters his brother
That life everlasting goes down to the gutter.
