You remind me, in turn, of a story told about two guys I went to college with, a few years later but still in the '60s: They were high school classmates, too, and when they took their SATs -- in a pharmacological state predictable for them -- one filled in the grid on his answer sheet with the outline of a house; the other, in the outline of a duck. They both scored high enough for college entrance, but the duck got the higher score.
