Dial-up, and slow at that.
Scan's are done automatically at 2 AM, updates manually every five days. I chose between lost time on my connection, and security. When I update I have to close all browser windows ETC. I took a chance on security, and lost. What can I say.
One thing I did do, when connecting, a sort of simple safety measure. The log in, and password have to be initiated and entered manually for my modem. Nothing dials out on its own.
I don't shut this system down, I put it on standby, or sleep. It wakes up, does a V-Scan, Spyware sweep and a couple other things at 2, unless I'm working. I'll pause it until I'm done.
