To some degree you're right.

But it's not just lobbying from corporations with money.
It's the illegal money laundering and slush funds from the international drug smuggling that are buying money and influence, and creating mayhem and murder.
A rather sordid side of American politics, but it's there.
And THAT puts everyone of you at risk....for terrorism.
