You don't seem to realize how many of the objections of the Left to Bush are based on things they imagine he's doing, or will do. We've already seen in the last election what happens when they have to nail it down to specifics.
As yet nobody has nailed down that he has broken a law, and I've noticed the drift on the leftist blogs into the same "potential for abuse" meme you're drifting into.
The Democratic Party doesn't seem to see the image they're putting across in one issue after another. Believe me, it doesn't give the impression that their top priority is national security.
