Cindy Sheehan used up her fifteen minutes a long time ago.

The only people who think she has any relevance any more are the loons on the Far Left.

I'll tell you what I think happened to Cindy Sheehan. Her son enlisted in the military, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that it was probably done over the furious opposition of his mother, whose anti-war credential go back further than her son's death. He then, during wartime, re-enlisted. Think about that. What do you think Cindy's objections sounded like to Casey's re-enlistment?

The chance that Casey Sheehan held the same views about this war as his mother is microscopic, and odds are very good that he and his mother violently disagreed on this subject.

When he was killed, his mother, to put it bluntly, lost her mind. Under the circumstances, with her trying desperately for years to drag her son away from the military, few could blame her.

Now she's off in that fantasy world occupied by the Far Left, and comfortable there. She's coping the only way she can, by re-inventing her military son as a pathetic victim and herself as an anti-war icon. Flying around the world on someone else's nickel sure beats sitting at home looking at old pictures.

But this doesn't mean she needs to be taken seriously. At all. Her "moral authority" is no greater than that of many pro-war parents who have lost sons and daughters in this war.
