Will the Palestinians be so emboldened that they will declare war on Isreal in the foolish belief that Iran, Syria, and other "Islamic" states will join the fight against the infadels?
Nah...In the long run, Hamas will be diminished by this as the foolish Palistinian masses demand that the new government deliver yesterday what it can't deliver in 100 years: Economic prosperity together with the destruction of Isreal. As those masses become increasingly impatient, Hammas will begin to lose its influence and the Democracy will breifly appear as if it is about to swing back toward some sanity. To qwell this rebellion of sanity, and cement its hold on power, Hamas will be forced to adopt Bathist techniques. Many Palestinians will die at the hands of their own government, many more will flee.
The world (including the USA) will do nothing, as the Palestinians will the getting exactly what they want and deserve: A Palestinian State.
Of course Statehood will never deliver what the Palestinians think they deserve, which is respect from Arabs, Persians, Europeans, and others.
The Palestinians are a Pathetic People.
