We installed him, and then we supported him. His enemies became our enemies. His injustices became our injustices. Iranians suffered because of his devotion to power at the expense of liberty, and our reputation in Iran was tied to his behavior because we supported him.

We didn't take him out. As Raoul pointed out, America didn't remove him. Cancer did.
