If Bush hadn't invaded Iraq, Israel and Palestine would be at peace!

After all, look at the decades of peace before we invaded Iraq, right? Why, before just before Bush took office, Israel and Palestine were that close to a final peace settlement! For a clue, go back and look at what was happening at the end of 2000.

Israel, heavily encouraged by the Bush administration, pulled out of Gaza. What the hell did that buy us?

It's getting really hard to stay polite in these conversations, since there seems to be a real immunity to reality out there.
