Then again there's an old vulcan saying, "Only Nixon can go to China." In a few years they may moderate their views enough to deal with Israel as Sharon, and Begin before him, moderated their hardline positions once thrust into leadership roles.

On the other hand, Islamists seem less inclined to moderation than other hardline groups.
