If someone sets someone's house on fire and I happen to see it, when asked I'll say "arson". The friends of the arsonist can tell the police they predicted I would say it that doesn't make it any less true.
By predicting the obvious it makes it seem you wanted to stifle the obvious truth - only 26% of the poll's respondents were Republicans.
34% support Bush? That, likely, means Bush received 100% support from his Republican base AND support from Independents and Democrats.
By the way, doesn't common sense tell you that Bush's support hasn't waned much at all when ALL the conservatives here still back him?
Polls like the one posted are purely fodder for those who are already hating Bush and simply want to reaffirm their belief that everyone is coming to their point of view. CBS, Seattle PI, NY Times et al is fakenews paid, bought and consumed by folks on the left.
The left buys their rags, watches their shows & pays their salaries and so they concoct polls and news just for them. It doen't take a neurosurgeon to figure that out.
Trying to sway the uninformed who parrot what they perceive the masses think (like sheep) with polls such of this does work - but those who are likely to be swayed are generally under-educated, poorer and more likely to be democrats or 'independents' anyway.
So in a sense fake polls are a 'voter outreach' for 'new' democrats while comforting the old ones.
