"He did nothing illegal"

Aren't you jumping the gun here a bit? From what I read, he hasn't gone to trial yet and even though the presumption is that the man is innocent until proven guilty, all indications are the prosecutor tends to win his cases and his record is one of non-partisanship.

If you're judging his guilt or innocence from what you read on internet blogs or hear in church, then you have no credible point to make in this issue. On the other side, I only know what I've read as well. His guilt or innocence really doesn't become an issue until we actually see what's going on in court.

My issue is that controversy and an antiethical cloud seem to follow this man wherever he goes and he has this horrible aura of bullyism. I'm afraid that it's been my life experience that bullies typically cross the line of the law in their attempts to intimidate. They view themselves above the rule of law or have such low opinions of themselves that they use their bullying as a way to make them seem stronger.

What does this say of you, that you'd support a guy that seems to find ways of painting himself as an immoral bully? Is your partisanship so blind that you can stand behind someone like this simply because it helps your party for him to retain power? I'd like to think there's another side to the story but I just don't hear good things about Tom Delay from any news source, conservative or liberal. I think that says volumes.
